The price is fixed through negotiations between Cremo and representatives of the APLC / APLCV.
Factors that determine the price of milk are:
- Milk contents of for individual producer *
- Bacteriological quality (official requirements for milk)
- Commercial value and market of the finished products
*Since February 2013, the milk is paid for entirely based on the content of the milk, that is to say in kg of fat and in kg of protein.
This way of paying for the milk is in line with the policy of Cremo Ltd, which, in 1975, had already introduced an individual payment by content for each producer.
Every milk producer has a contract with Cremo SA for a minimum period of one year which defines the conditions of purchase, sale, transport and quantities.
